DESCRIPTIONS/SIZING We list only salient features, to allow us to list as many items as possible.  Feel free to ask for more data on localities, etc.  Sizes vary, but we try to make them close to the sizes listed.  Please ask for prices and availability for research grade material.

LABELS Each specimen is wrapped with its own label noting any major associated minerals, the chemical formula, and as much locality data as we have available.  For orders of ten or more of one item, one label is sent for all ten.

DISCOUNTS-LOT/10 The LOT/10 price in the General Mineral List is for ten size A to size B (1inch to 1x1inch or 2.5 cm to 2.5x2.5cm) specimens of the same item, at a very reduced price.  An asterisk (*) indicates the size noted, rather than size A/B.  We also offer 15% off of ten items of the same size and price (i.e. 10 size C Talc, NY).  Items in lists other than the General Mineral List are subject to discount only by quotation, and the (*) indicates something else.  We cannot offer a discount based on the dollar value of your order.

BY THE POUND We no longer list items with a price by the pound.  If you are interested in ordering items by the pound, please send a list of the items, and we will send you the prices if they are available by the pound.  We apologize for the small delay this will cause in ordering.

SHIPPING/RETURNS Shipping charges are extra.  We now charge a minimum of $3.00 for any parcel.  Please add at least $10.00 for estimated shipping, and we will bill you any extra, or refund the overage.  You can ask us to hold small balances of credit for future orders, if desired.  We ship the cheapest way for all US shipments, unless you note a preference (see order form).  All orders are insured unless you tell us on your order that you waive the insurance, and that you will accept any loss or damage to uninsured parcels.
All items may be returned within TEN DAYS of receipt for credit, exchange or refund (your choice).  Shipping charges are NOT refundable. Carefully pack items to be returned, along with the label.  Please insure the return parcel.  If you receive damaged specimens DO NOT RETURN THEM UNTIL you talk to us.

OUT OF US SHIPPING There is a charge of $3.00 per parcel, in addition to the actual shipping charges.  You must specify AIRMAIL or SURFACE MAIL on your order.  We can arrange to use other carriers on request.  We cannot give any estimate here, due to the varied weight of each shipment.  Orders will be sent insured unless you waive the insurance, and you are willing to accept any loss or damage.  Send at least $15.00 for shipping, and any extra charge with be billed and any overage will be credited to your account  with us, unless you request a refund.

PAYMENT with order is required unless you have established credit with us.  Orders for less than $10.00 worth of specimens [$20.00 if using a formal purchase order] will be charged a $2.00 small order fee. Payment may be a personal check, bank draft, or money order (domestic or International), payable in US dollars, drawn on a bank with a US address.  Postal Money Orders in US dollars are accepted, as well as Traveler’s Checks, cash (US$) or US mint postage stamps.  We accept VISA and MASTERCARD credit cards.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS only – Tax for our district is now 7-1/4%

ORDERS may be printed on any clean sheet of paper.  Include your name and address, as well as the name of the minerals ordered, their locality (if known), the size and price.  PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY.  Phone, fax, mail or e-mail orders are accepted.  We prefer that you do not e-mail your credit card number if possible.  Please call or fax your number if you plan to e-mail your order, or give us your phone number and we will call you.  We do not keep credit card numbers on file unless you request we do so.

Please remember we are only human, and prone to mistakes.  If you are ever dissatisfied with an order, please tell us, and we will do our best to resolve any problem.
