Prices in the SPECIES LIST are for single 2.5cm specimens unless otherwise noted
(about one inch in at least one dimension) and are in US dollars. If you would like to know about larger specimens but do not find that species included in the GENERAL MINERAL LIST or other recent lists you may have received from us, do let us know your criteria. When you request information about a species, tell us if you have size or price limitations per specimen. Also let us know if certain quality limitations exist -- for example, we know you don't want a list of massive specimens if your interest is in crystallized specimens. If purity is a concern, let us know. The more we know about your needs and preferences, the better we are able to serve you.
Some species are followed by more than once price (always for 2.5 cm [1inch]) specimens unless another size is noted). The higher price indicates better quality. Where "up" follows a price, better quality specimens are available only in limited sizes or quantities and may be moderately to quite costly; again, please ask for more information about those of interest to you. Ask for more information about species listed without a price.
XL = crystal or partial crystal
NEW FEATURE -- SPECIES LIST ONLY species marked with an asterisk (*) are from the type locality. If the * is by a price, then only that price is from the type locality. Be sure to specify that is what you want.
Some groups have been cross-referenced, i.e., TOURMALINE, GARNET, QUARTZ, etc. For example, while the price for almandine will be found under GARNET, you will be directed to the GARNET section if you look up almandine--there you will find "Almandine--see GARNET"

Amphiboles, pyroxenes, micas, feldspars and such are listed only under their mineral names, i.e., ALBITE, BIOTITE, FERROHORNBLENDE, etc. Occasionally, equivalent names are indicated where the older name may be more familiar, i.e., Niccolite=NICKELINE. Most varietal names are followed by the species name in parentheses, i.e., MOONSTONE (Albite).
SHIPPING/RETURNS Shipping charges are extra. We now charge a minimum of $3.00 for any parcel. We ask that you add $10.00 for estimated shipping, and we will bill you for any extra, or refund the overage. You can ask us to hold small balances for credit for future orders, if desired. We ship the cheapest way between UPS and Priority MAIL for all US shipments, unless you note a preference (see order form). All orders are insured unless you tell us on your order that you waive the insurance, and that you will accept any loss or damage.
All items may be returned within ten days of receipt for credit, exchange or refund (your choice). Shipping charges are NOT refundable. Carefully pack items to be returned, along with the label. Please insure the return parcel. If you receive damaged specimens DO NOT RETURN THEM UNTIL you talk to us.
OUT OF US SHIPPING There is a charge of $3.00 per parcel, in addition to the actual shipping charges. You must specify AIRMAIL or SURFACE MAIL on your order. We can arrange to use other carriers on request. We cannot give any estimate due to the varied weight of each shipment. Orders will be sent insured, unless you waive the insurance, and you are willing to accept any loss or damage. Send at least $10.00 for shipping, and any extra charge will be billed, and any overage will be credited to your account with us, unless you request a refund.
PAYMENT With order is required unless you have established credit with us. Orders for less than $10.00 worth of specimens [$20.00 if using a formal purchase order] will be charged a $2.00 small order fee. Payment may be a personal check, bank draft, or money order (domestic or International), payable in US dollars, drawn on a bank with a US address. Postal Money Orders in US dollars are accepted, as well as Traveller's Cheques, cash (US$), or US mint postage stamps. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD credit cards.
